The head of the tax service must:

The skills of a tax specialist
Studies : In this area, companies are very demanding. The ideal Tax Director holds a Master 2 in tax law or business law, ideally completed with the CAPA (Certificate of aptitude for the profession of lawyer). He can also come from a major business school and/or have a specialty in banking/finance.
Experience : It is very important. It is rare to be offered this position with less than eight years of experience. Being a Tax Director implies perfect knowledge and mastery of accounting, financial and legal mechanisms.
Human qualities : Curious, meticulous and rigorous, the Tax Director does not hesitate to check, cross-check and question again to advise the company as accurately as possible. Methodical and precise, he must constantly monitor tax news and case law to avoid making mistakes. Due to the cross-functionality of his function, he must be diplomatic, able to anticipate and be comfortable both in writing and orally. The international environment of this sector requires a very good command of English. The practice of a second foreign language is highly appreciated.
